A quiet and peaceful apartment, located on the hillside with a magnificent view of the lake. It is less than 1 km from the lake and just a few minutes drive into the famous town of Menaggio. The apartment offers three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people, a separate kitchen, a living room and large terrace from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Lake Como. The property also has its own private parking space.
Rezzonico is full of charm & character, dominated by the XIV century Castle built by Pope Clements XIII family. It is one of the most visited towns on Lake Como, situated on the sunny western shore, near Menaggio (7 km south) and Como (35 km south). Flights of cobbled steps, small medieval pathways, laid among the ancient houses with their elegant portals and porticos where fishermen spread out and repair their nets. Along the shores you find secluded beaches and picturesque spots.
For mountain lovers there are walks through small and sunny villages. From the peaks of Monte Bregagno you have the view of three lakes: Como, Piano, Lugano. You can find rural settlements with old houses made of natural stone, little piazzas with wash places and ancient chapels which take you back in time. Art and history live on in the villages of Tremezzina.
Rezzonico is a good starting point for short excursions to the main villages of the lake: Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, Lenno & Como. It is possible to visit the most beautiful towns of Lombardy and the most well known mountain areas of Valtellina, Val Chiavenna, Engadina, on day excursions.
The village of Rezzonico is very quiet, there are a few restaurants, a small supermarket, bank & pharmacy. There is also a small market every two weeks on Wednesdays. For extensive shopping and night life, Menaggio is 10 mins drive away.
The small village of San Siro is just a walk away where you will find a grocery shop, a pizzeria, a restaurant and a bus stop. On shore of the lake there are water sport facilities such as boat hire, sailing, surfing and there are a number of scenic walking routes that begin at the lake.
Furthermore, San Siro is a pretty, antique hamlet where you can still feel the atmosphere of the ancient past and view the beautiful castle with arcades dating back to 1000AD |
